Outland Absconders (Russian subtitles)

In general, my version of the translation Outland Absconders, but in subtitles.

I had to add some gags, since Nadmozg’s knowledge of English is not very good and the dubbing people have a strange accent at some points.

I’m waiting for thoughts on the translation (I hope there will be some).

Many English language experts would be happy to argue with you that accuracy is needed and necessary. I personally don’t think that it is necessary to translate exactly right down to one word, sometimes this is simply impossible to do, I can even give an example from the recently published trailer for Crysis 2, where he says the phrase “The suit does not make me invulnerable” and in the original “unstoppable”. But we can’t leave this option, we need a more or less adequate replacement and the meaning doesn’t suffer from loss of accuracy.

In the first episode of Outland Absconders, I automatically noted several inaccuracies. What was enough for me with my modest ignorance of the English language 🙂 They don’t interfere with understanding what is happening, but is this a reason to refuse to improve your translator skills?? I made an approximate translation – well done, commendable. Clarified, corrected and added – overall handsome.

After all, here and https://forvetbetcasino.co.uk/ on other forums I often read abuse directed at film translators. Well, they say, illiterate idiots, how is this possible, wrong, terrible, impossible! Some people’s ears bleed from dubbing texts. Just try to convince them 😉

The translation is not bad, although it suffers from some inaccuracies. Not critical and does not affect the meaning. But you have to criticize corrosively 😉

I also really like the original. And subtitles. I saw this machinima a long time ago and then it impressed me. Well, the Russian translation… Then the guys from MATS were just starting work and the poor technical level, as well as acting work (if it even makes sense to talk about it in this case), I think we can forgive. It would be cool if SG voiced the series. There may even be some probability that they will do it.

For whom how?. Some people need precision, others need meaning. In the first case, my translation will most likely be suitable. In the second, a translation will do M.A.T.S., in which there is a connection between words (not like mine).

You stole my job! I’m the one who always criticize translations! And I say that there are few errors here. At least less than in MadMuse translations =)

And I see you didn’t waste your time, you translated this entire series. The translation of the first part, by the way, is more accurate than that of M.A.T.WITH. The rest have not yet been rated.

I agree that it would be nice to have it translated into S.G style, but here the audience is unlikely to understand it. Although I’m surprised that Rusty Whispers received better than the first issues DAT.

I myself understand that in some places it is very clumsy, but I tried to make the translation more accurate. Therefore the quality suffers a little.
