Dragon Age: Origins
For true fans of the series, my review will seem like complete heresy, they will start throwing tomatoes, potatoes at me and whatever else grows there in Ferelden? The original “Dragon Age: Origins”, the best game of 2009, did not impress me at all. One could say even more, by the 4th hour of the game I already wanted to delete it, but I set myself a clear goal to complete it to the end. There are too many small disadvantages in the game, which in their grouping cause obvious disgust for the game. Right away, what I noticed was that 2/3 of the game time we communicate with someone, communicate, communicate, and in general, this is an RPG, not a Quest. You give the Spawn of Darkness, less dialogue, a simple plot and the ideal game for one playthrough is ready, well, no… As I progressed, I assembled a team of 9 allies, but why can I only use 4? We spend the whole game gathering an army against Pestilence! We need every warrior, but we only move four of us, and besides, I immediately got used to my standard set: Me, Morrigan, Alistair, Stan and never changed them again. While traveling through the Shadow, we were given such cool opportunities – transformation, not to use this to expand the gameplay, so not only did we collect them for a good couple of hours, they are also taken away from us as soon as we destroy the demon. Despite the fact that I had patch 1.04 all the bugs of the game were not removed and often in the midst of some battle the game crashed, discouraging all desire to go through this zone again and start the game altogether (VKontakte.ru –> Refresh page). The animation of Morrigan’s movement completely kills me, why during the battle she runs like a man 0_o and why in general magicians sometimes run up to the enemy himself, instead of adding a couple of lines of code to the engine and keeping their distance? The pause system is also quite pointless, we are not bots and cannot control everyone at once, and therefore we’d rather spend half an hour distributing the attack. Their fucked-up tactics system, why the hell is it even if I attack one monster and everyone starts attacking it at once, if I close the door in front of my NPCs, they won’t even be able to open it. Did they save money on AI?? The incident at the Anvil of the Void actually killed me, it was when I had to fuck the spirits before meeting the golem. All my teammates tried to hit the rotating tower instead of the ghosts, which is why I constantly had to pause and distribute the attack. Locations of the same type, spend most of the game in some dungeons, Spawn of Darkness, which after the Gathering of Lands became so weak that they can be farmed with one hit. The plot of the game is a separate issue… after that plot, the game should have been called “The Age of Politics: The Beginning”, because the plot reminds me of going to the military registration and enlistment office, receiving directions, and going to collect them. After I listed all this, the question arises: “How did I even play this?? I beat Oblivion 100500 times!“I’m sure that I forgot something and didn’t finish writing it, but now the advantages of the game will go. In fact, I liked the ending of the game most of all, when it tells what happened after the victory over the archdemon, do you think I missed some advantage?? I doubt it… the whole game was created as a seed for all the DLC and Awakening

Fuck… sorry for the expression.
The point is that he is the last gray guard with Alistair. You don’t seem to understand the essence of the game itself. And dude, I don’t know what announcements for DAO you read, but I couldn’t explain from them that it will be a stupid, never-interesting slasher film. And when your actions have an impact, albeit imaginary, it becomes much more interesting to play!
0_0 I don’t even know what to say. Personally, in the first part it was the excessive amount of massacre that really irritated me.(although the combat system itself was generally good)
