Article on the film “Seven” (Se7en)

Good day, friends! Today I am writing an article about the film "Seven" by David Fincher. Many of you probably know this director from the film “Fight Club”, for example. "Seven" was filmed 4 years earlier (1995). The film is atmospheric, quite dynamic, interesting. Starring guys like Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman. In general, you will hardly be bored. Well, let’s begin.

The story begins with a https://bullspinscasino.co.uk/ certain William Somerset (Morgan Freeman), an honest detective, who, after many years of working as a police officer, decides to retire. Today is Monday, last week at work. But it is in this last week that he is attacked by a young, daring and still “green”, in comparison with him, partner named Mills (Brad Pitt), with whom Somerset’s relationship does not go well from the first minutes of their acquaintance. And besides, the mission to which he is sent along with his new partner turns out to be not the ordinary murder of a husband with a frying pan, but rather a sinister, cruel crime. The partners discover a very fat and very dead man in the apartment. The cause of death is not the round-the-clock pumping of a level 80 elf. The poor fellow was bound hand and foot with steel wire, and died from eating until the walls of his stomach began to crack and, in the end, completely collapsed. Mills, seeing such a picture, begins to often repeat “fak”, “ou shield” and other phrases of equivalent meaning. Somerset, on the contrary, shows almost no emotion, however, after returning to the station, he asks the boss to give the task to someone else. Mills, foaming at the mouth, asks that the task be given to him, since that old horseradish, Somerset, does not want to do his job. Nevertheless, the boss points his middle finger at the door of the nursery group of the kindergarten, and Somerset says that besides him, he has no one who could solve this riddle. William tries to justify his actions by the fact that he has a premonition that this is not the last author’s work of the guy who killed the fat man, and there are very few days left in the service, but this does not help, and our heroes have to work together.

The next day, Tuesday, the black detective’s predictions come true. New murder. Mills travels to the business district of the city, goes up to the office of one of the skyscrapers and sees an oil painting: a huge word GREED (greed) written in blood. Next, Somerset, visiting the fat man’s apartment again, accidentally discovers the same huge word GLUTTONY (gluttony). Combining these two murders, Somerset tells the boss that there will be five more. One mortal sin for each sacrifice, which seems to best represent it. The partners have no choice but to join forces and catch the mysterious killer..

The film is good. Atmosphere, acting, plot… Everything is good. But, unfortunately, not everyone will like it. Why? Specific atmosphere, plot with reference to religion, visual design. The film is very dark in the literal sense of the word. This works very well for the detective atmosphere, everything is clear here. But your eyes may get tired, you may want to look at the time slider, or even close the player altogether with the thought “I’ll watch it later,” without turning on the movie again, but in vain! Yes, there are no six-barreled machine guns, big tits and other popular attributes of modern cinema, but I watched this film several times, and I watched it not without pleasure.
In general, I strongly recommend it to fans of detective stories, and indeed to everyone for whom special effects, naked tits and swear words are not the main criteria for a good movie. Thank you all for your time, watch good films, see you again!
